Location and courtyard delightful; can imagine it being wonderful in warmer weather, and cooler in the midst of a very hot Provencal/Bouches de Rhone summer. Decor good, apart from rather nasty looking Gainsboro' repro. The original modern art in foyer had its impact reduced - pity
There was no cold water five minutes after having a shower! Receptionist advised that rooms one-below-the-other had experienced the same problem. This could have been dangerous. In effect it just made cleaning teeth a bit wierd.
There is like a nice little patio outside reception and the breakfast was good
The room was dirty, carpet, bath, even the main balcony doors... the prices for minibar were outrageous!!
friendly, competent staff, quite room
nice room, nice garden, nice sw. pool
too much noise from the other guests early in the morning
Away from the bustle of Marseille - quiet & relaxed. A bus is nearby if you want to visit the city.
No - all fine
The hotel is in a secluded residential area which gives you the privacy you need. Since it's a small hotel, the poolside is not crowded and is enjoyable. The terrase and gardens are lovely.
The restaurant staff was clearly not service oriented except for the breakfast waitress. The dinner staff can really use some training in customer service skills.
The internet shoould work better . The conection is made based on passwords given by room, on is disconected each 10 minutes.
Very quiet (we had a room in the old building), nice garden and swimming pool. The hotel is in a residency area, on the hills, close to the sea. It takes around 30 minutes to walk to/from the Vieux-Port, but there is a bus (61) stopping at 100 meters.
The breakfast (12 euros / person) is too expensive and they are no café or bakery around... Wifi is free but it woks only at the reception desk, not in the rooms. Bus service stops at 8pm and during week ends, there is only 1 or 2 buses per hour.
I loved the setting---the terrace and gardens and poolside, and the relaxed feeling.
Only that the waiter seemed put out that we did not order a full dinner. The front desk and other staff were very nice, and very helpful.
quiet position, off road parking, nice pool, friendly staff.Superior room very adequate, the basic room just that.
Very difficult to find;need a car if you want to travel anywhere. If you do hire get a smart car as old Marseille was even a challenge for our peugote 207, to say nothing of the rude aggressive home drivers adding to the stress of driving in Marseille.!!
Great staff, I had made two reservations for the two nights (due to a web problem), one on a standard room, the other on a superior room. On arrival, they noticed and upgraded me on the superior for the full two nights. Beautiful rooms, secluded and calm atmosphere in the middle of the city. Difficult to find, but lots of fun while doing it.
Just a minor thing: the shower faucet was not in very good shape, and struggled until it arrived on a not-so-hot, not-so-cold position
Fantastic gem in the middle of Marseille
Driving through Marseille is horrible. Throw your gps out the window to save time.
Good location Affordable price Kindness of the staff
Lovely clean rooms in excellent condition in a quiet haven so close to the bus stop so just 10-15 mins from beaches and the town. Staff were very helpful. The few shops within walking distance had a all you needed for picnics.
The key card worked the electricity which meant the fridge and air con were off if you were out all day so the room was not as cool as I like it but it was 36 degrees outside!
First choice if you come by car, nice rooms, nice garden, large swimming pool
A little bit remote from the port (i.e. centre)
